PHOTOWEB
Interior design · New office buildings · Grenoble · Selig Renault
Having designed the company's logo some years earlier, the studio was brought back to bring the common areas of Photoweb's new buildings in Grenoble to life.
The brief: transform an immense two-level glazed space — kitchen, dining area, mezzanine, views over the mountains — into a warm and convivial place, worthy of a company that puts the wellbeing of its teams at the heart of its priorities.
The approach is bold and immediately memorable: an indoor picnic area, where nature is literally invited into the workplace. A six-metre birch tree stands at the centre of the space, surrounded by natural grass — an unexpected green gesture that radically transforms the atmosphere. Custom-designed "Game Boxes", drawn by the studio, elegantly conceal the everyday appliances — microwaves, refrigerators — without ever breaking the aesthetic intention.
Acoustic comfort was treated with the same care as aesthetics. The space, once perceived as too cold and too large, became the beating heart of the company from day one. Plenary meetings, lunches, informal breaks: the teams reclaimed the space immediately after handover. The mezzanine, dedicated to informal co-working, completes the scheme by offering an alternative workspace — freer, more creative, more human.
When the office becomes a place you actually want to stay.
